Magic

What a weekend.

Fabulous skiing on powder snow with blue skies on Friday and Saturday. Today was a bit windy and cloudy but still pretty good. I didn't suck as much as I thought I would... and the free lessons were a bonus I didn't expect. I can even parallel like a pro now! And although I have two massive black bruises on my leg, I can still walk. Unlike one of our group who tore a ligament in her knee Saturday morning on the first run of the day. She was well annoyed.

But f*** me its expensive to ski in this country. $250 for a 3 day lift pass. $6 for a hot chocolate. $14 for a beer and a glass of (house) red. $60 for a one-course/one glass of wine dinner on Friday night. I'll be paying it off for a year.

My beloved Hawks did me proud today and beat the Bombers. Sorry mum. Although boys... why did you have to play well on an afternoon when I was (a) driving back from the snow; and (b) in a car with a bunch of girls who preferred to listen to CDs rather than find a station broadcasting the game? Should have taken my discman (yes - I'm old school - but not by choice. I'd love an ipod).

But the Hawks won and that's what's important. And thank you Carlton for smashing the Pies. We're now only 3rd bottom.

Magic.

I'm an AFL die-hard... its been bred into me from a young age.

Am only a newbie to the Wallabies but having spent the weekend with a bunch of rugby fans am feeling suitably angry at their shocking performance.
