Bluebell Madonna

Of all the ridiculous baby names in recent times, surely this one takes the cake.

Apparently, the name "came to the former Spice Girl during her regular walks in the park towards the end of the pregnancy when she seemed to see the flowers everywhere".

Let's at least be thankful she didn't name the poor tyke "Dustbin", "Bench", "Tree", "Drunken Bum" or "Dog Poo". That's what I see in my local park most days.

Of course given that her former fellow Spice Girls gave their kids ridiculous names like Phoenix Chi, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, I guess we shouldn't be at all surprised.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in her school yard in about ten year's time. Let's hope she's really witty and smart or has got a decent pair of fists on her.

As someone who is currently considering baby names himself, I want to thank you for all those wonderful suggestions.

'Drunken Bum', eh?

Niiiiiice.

(You mean for a baby girl, yes?)

bevis - I actually prefer Drunken Bum for a baby boy, but hey, its the 21st century... doesn't matter either way.

dxxxx - Given who her mother is I would say she'll be genetically predisposed to that anyway. Remember those vinyl frocks she used to wear? Hideous.

My cousin named her baby Matilda. She'd had the name picked out since she found out she was preggers but her bub was born not long after Heath's. She was soooo angry at him.

Any bets on what Ange & Brad will name their poor offspring?

I'm guessing Gwen & Gav will go traditional. It'd be just like them.

OMG, where have I been? I didn't even know she was pregnant. You can tell I don't read the gossip mags. Ah well, another poor kid destined for the shrink's couch later in life... :0

Do you know, the ironic thing is that when she DOES hit the school yard in 10 years time, none of her classmates will blink an eyelid. Seriously, in amongst Alchemy, Orion, Denim, Art, Diva, West, Jakemo, Alabama, Autumn, and Kaylam... little Bluebell will feel right at home.

(all these are actual living, breathing human children that I have known in the last few years)

Jellyfish- Out of that bunch, Bluebell would be the most 'normal'!

wow jellyfish - that makes my friend Ems suggestion of "Mt Sinaii Ark" for her firstborn sound vaguely normal!

Pity the poor child named Diva if they're actually not.

Hey bevis - you paying attention to jellyfish's list of names there? Getting any ideas?
