I've not done a scrap of saving.
My flight is paid for, as is my first week's accommodation (with six of my loveliest girlfriends who are travelling from all corners of the globe to celebrate with me), but I've still got to book:
- A week in the Catskills;
- A return flight from NYC to London (where I'll be seeing Take That and the Pet Shop Boys at Wembley, then David Tennant and Catherine Tate in Much Ado About Nothing at the Wyndham... squeeee!);
- Accommodation in NYC on my return from London (for the end-of-holiday-my-god-that-US$-is-amazing-at-the-moment shopping); and
- Travel insurance.
And that's all to be factored in BEFORE I start on spending money.
Would requesting an increase on my credit card limit be a bit cheeky? You only turn 40 once after all...
