So...
I was up early this morning. 6.30am in fact. Far too bloody early for me.
But it was all in a good cause.
I toddled off down to Martin Place to see these lads...
[OK, so I was trying to insert a photo there but this stupid Blogger Beta thing won't let me. Grrr.]
[Pretend there's a photo of Take That inserted here]
Did anyone watch Sunrise?
Jason Orange was off his chops. Bless. He look like he'd just wandered over from Taylor Square. There was lots of interpretive dance and running his tongue around his teeth.
Anyway.
I managed to get pretty close to all the action. If you want to see just how close, check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/mands_b/.
I'm trying to upload the video onto You Tube from when they walked right by me and Gary said "alright?" and Mark let me touch his arm like the obsessed fan I am. However on my slow-arse boat anchor of a computer it really is taking far too long. I may have to flaunt the rules and try doing it on Saturday at work.
Right. Off to an audition for some voiceover stuff now. Fingers crossed!

Boat Anchor
Current reason for lack of blogging (choose one):
A. Nothing to say
B. Too busy
C. Can't be bothered
D. Computer is being, ummmm, shall we say, difficult and uncooperative?
I hope you chose D.
I have plenty to say, I'm not too busy and I really am bothered.
BUT MY BLOODY COMPUTER IS BEING A PAIN THE ARSE AND WILL SHORTLY BECOME A BOAT ANCHOR IF IT DOESN'T SPEED UP A BIT.
Sorry. Didn't mean to shout. Its just very frustrating.
So far this evening, it has taken me ten minutes to log in to Blogger (and don't start me on those "would you like to upgrade to super duper new Blogger?" messages) and its now struggling to keep up with what I'm typing. I'm a pretty fast typist, but my computer is being so ridiculously sluggish that I'm almost an entire line ahead of it.
So get a new computer, I hear you say. Well, yes. That would be ideal. I would love a new computer. I just can't afford a new computer. I can barely afford my rent at the moment with all the unexpected bills which have been jumping in my path.
Alternatively, you helpfully suggest, you could blog at work. Well, yes, I could do that, but my boss has clamped down on "non-work-related-internet-usage". I had the worst time on Thursday trying to convince her that the arts section of the SMH online is work-related because we work in the arts. She was having NONE of it and is tracking each of us in our daily internet usage. Evil, much.
Ah well. Mustn't grumble. Despite my theatre company going tits-up, I am rehearsing for a play which will be on in April. Three of the same people I did the Sam Shepard play with last year. Except this time I will have my face to the audience, I won't have to eat turkey and I will be switching my down-home-Southern accent for an upper-crust-British one. Splendid. Jolly good. Lashings and lashings of ginger beer and all that.
AND...
My episode of Ready Steady Cook has been given an airdate of Wednesday 14 March. Feel free to set your VCR. Or recordable DVD if you are technologically advanced like that. And if you are one of those highly technologisised* folk, please feel free to donate to the "replace the boat anchor" fund.
I'm taking bets on how long this will take to publish. Since it took ten minutes to load a blank page I'm guessing about fifteen.
Grrrr.
* I have no idea if that is a real word. Sounds good though, doesn't it?
