Here's an odd thing.
Context first:
I can quite often be found listening to a certain "Classic Hits" radio station.
Don't get all high brow on me, I bet you've all found yourselves listening to it (or a similar station for those of you interstate or overseas) at some point or other. I bet you can even sing along with most of the tracks.
Anyway, I'm listening to it now, as I try and get an emailable version of the songs on my iPod to send to Ems. I think I've cracked it by the way Ems... keep a look out for it in the next day or two.
Keep with me, I'm getting to the point.
This station just played an ad for The Da Vinci Code. And it was very static-y and fuzzy and very difficult to hear and therefore caught my attention.
And it suddenly struck me that the couple of times I've heard it at work was also been static-y and fuzzy and very difficult to hear.
But each time, the ads preceding and following have been crystal clear.
Is this some conspiracy by those opposed to the film?
Its very puzzling.
I have this image of a Catholic priest in a little shed somewhere with some homemade radio trying to prevent the ad from being heard clearly each time its played.
But that's just silly really.
Let's be realistic.
With the money that organisation has, its probably a state-of-the-art studio at the top of a cathedral somewhere.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "interference".

like it. i reckon you are right. there's certainly a lot of anti code stuff out there.
i saw it. it sucks, but not as much as i expected. we saw it as it was the only thing we could get to see in the time available after we left the mcg at 3/4 time as collingwood was thoroughly doing geelong...
and now this last weekend. i swear, i sometimes wonder how my dad can just keep going.
what a fucking disappointment.
how'd your boys go? i can't bring myself to check the sports pages.
[weeps quietly]
